Temu Pop Up store in Barcelona( July 2022)
After the overwhelming success and the tremendous impact that it generated among locals and strangers with the opening, at the beginning of this same month of June, of its first store in Madrid, an ephemeral space that remained open to the public solely and exclusively for a period of 4 days, the Chinese fashion retailer Shein has decided to revive the experience, now from Barcelona. City in which it will land at the end of this same month of June, to undertake the opening of a new ephemeral boutique, which on this occasion will remain open for a total period of 11 days in Barcelona, from Thursday, June 30 to Sunday. July 10, 2022.
Continuing with the summer atmosphere of these dates, the same one that was decided to print on its pop-up shop in Madrid of surf rhythms, this new pop-up, or pop-up shop, in Barcelona will open its doors next Thursday, June 30, in the number 15-17 of the Avinguda del Portal de l’Àngel. One of the main commercial arteries of the Catalan capital, considered to be the shopping street with the most expensive square meter in the entire country, and which, in addition, different market studies, such as the one carried out by Cushman&Wakefield in 2019, assiduously place between the streets commercial with the most expensive rents in Europe, in a list for which it was then among the 20 most expensive commercial streets of the continent. Classification in which it stood out from position 18 as the road with the highest rent in Spain,
A meeting point for the main national and international fashion chains and groups, Shein will open the doors of this new ephemeral store in Barcelona along with establishments occupied by brands such as Springfield, Cortefiel, Mango, Foot Locker, Calzedonia , Intimissimi, Systemaction, Sunglasshut, the urban fashion chain AW Lab, Benetton, Gap, Tous or all the brands that make up the Inditex commercial portfolio. Group against which Shein seems to come to battle in its own field, occupying in this opening a place located a few meters from the flagship stores of Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Massimo Dutti, this being also the place in Portal de l’Àngel that had been occupying the Uterqüe chain of Inditex, integrated in Massimo Dutti and already deactivated in commercial terms.
From coffee and ice cream area to make-up sessions
Under the concept of “Summer Oasis” and following a showroom exhibition model, from Shein, in collaboration with the Swedish provider of payment solutions Klarna, they have designed a unique shopping experience from which they will put on sale a selection of their items fashion, cosmetics and accessories, both for men and women, specially chosen for this time of year. An offer among which pieces with a marked summer influence will stand out, such as swimsuits, flowing and fresh dresses and light t-shirts.As part of this same experience, lovers and followers of the brand who come to Shein’s “Summer Oasis” pop-up in Barcelona will receive a gift bag from Klarna; a coupon with a -15 percent discount, to be used in the Shein online store; and a gift from the retailer, this only reserved for the first 100 visitors to the store. A space from which, in addition, and according to what Shein is in charge of advancing, the brand will put at your disposal a coffee and ice cream area, a space for temporary tattoos, or the possibility of participating in makeup sessions. While in addition, and already emphasizing the values of circularity and sustainability, Shein announces that every Friday and Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
To finish detailing the calendar of activities that will take place from the store, customers who go to the pop-up will find a beauty bar for makeup, makeovers and tattoos, open from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday , and from 12 noon to 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. opening hours
During the 11-day period in which this pop-up in Barcelona will remain operational, the second that Shein opens in Barcelona after the one it remained operational, from December 11 to 16, 2019, inside the Maremagnum shopping center, The “Summer Oasis” pop-up will remain open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with reduced hours on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Also contemplating an exceptional opening hours for the day of its inauguration, next Thursday, June 30, at 3:00 p.m.
For this opening day, we already predict that it is more than certain that the long queues that occurred for the opening of the Shein pop-up in Madrid a few weeks ago will be repeated. An ephemeral store that we had the opportunity to visit from FashionUnited, and that dawned on June 2, the day of its opening, with a large number of people stationed from 8:00 in the morning, in front of some doors that were not going to open to the public, as had already been announced by the retailer, until 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.
Shein, to the conquest of Europe
Unlike that pop-up in Madrid and the different ones that have been repeatedly promoted from Shein throughout the world, this one in Barcelona will open its doors as one of the 5 “Summer Oasis” pop-ups that since Shein are going to launch this summer in Europe in collaboration with Klarna. An association that will extend from the months of June and August, with which the Chinese retailer seems to come to confirm its clear intentions of going out to conquer European consumers, without fear of strong rivals, both digital and physical, that may find in what are the main markets of groups as powerful as Inditex, H&M, Mango, Tendam, Asos, Boohoo or Zalando.
As part of this initiative, in which both companies began last April with the opening, from April 8 to 10, of the first “Shein X Klarna” pop-up in London, over the next few weeks A total of five “Summer Oasis” pop-ups will open their doors in Europe, in Paris (June 23 to July 10), Barcelona (June 30 to July 10), Berlin (July 21 to July 7 August) and Rome (from July 21 to August 7). The last destination being an unknown quantity that, at least for the moment, Shein is saving to clear up, generating even greater expectation, if possible, about which of all of them will be that last European city that will end up hosting the last pop-up of this series of summer. Openings with which from Shein they come to redouble their commitment to Europe and to some European consumers,
